“Food is our common ground a universal experience” James Beard
No Farms, No Food. Think about it...all of our hard working Farmers’ Market growers are not only producing bounty for your table and larder, they are also preserving Central New York’s valuable farmland, our true source of security. By being stewards of the land, they are pledging to protect our environment and our future.
As you pass their colorful displays of products grown and produced on their farms, imagine these farmers’ daily commitment to the land. Honor their hard work and dedication by supporting their efforts. Bring home food to eat fresh! Buy a set of artisan tableware for a present! Bring home apples for a pie! Stock up on keepers – winter squash, potatoes, onions, garlic and shallots. Get some garlic to plant in your own garden. Buy a wreath to grace your door or a plant to brighten your windowsill. Our vendors are happy to hold your purchases while you visit the rest of the Expo.
Check out Denise Szerek's "Old Goat" Tomatoe products. Until you try a sample you would not believe tomatoes could taste so good. Or, talk to Larry and Kate of, of Foothill Farms, about hops and making hops products!
We have tisanes and salves, honey and yogurt, jams and pickles, salsa and herbs, dried flowers and raspberries, cheese and crisp apples, pork, chicken....the list goes on and on! Come see the finest of Central New York’s bounty. And remember, everything here is grown by our farmers, who work hard to preserve New York farmland and to provide us all with an incredible array of Central New York-grown products. |
